Paidir na Maidine ~ A Morning Prayer

O Christ, Light of the world,
true Sun who never sets,
drive far from us the darkness of sin.

Fill our hearts with the brightness of Your grace,
guide our thoughts,
direct our words,
strengthen our hands for every good work,
and bring us at the close of this day
to rejoice in Your everlasting kingdom.

For You live and reign
with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
one God,
forever and ever.
